Best Beach On Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands)
The moment our trip was booked and I knew we were going to the Cayman Islands, I of course dedicated myself to planning straight away. These islands in the Caribbean have been on my bucket list for a long time and I just had to discover the absolute best spots to visit.
As the home of so many wonderful beaches and the exotic landscape that is so typical of the Caribbean, the Cayman Islands are for many people the definition of paradise. With the sun shinning throughout the year, pure white sand welcoming people to the beaches and the turquoise waters inviting them to swim around to their heart's content, Cayman Islands truly is the place of dreams.

But which one is the absolute best beach to go to in the Cayman Islands? It's not an easy thing to decide and it is obviously very subjective, but here are my two cents on the matter.
After much research, I finally ended up concluding that the best beach to visit there was Cemetery Beach. Weird name, right? I'll explain.
So in the island of Grand Cayman (the biggest one in the Cayman Islands) there is an extremely famous beach called 7 Mile Beach. This World-renowned beach has received all kinds of awards, including 4th Best Beach in the Caribbean - which is saying a lot. And since it is so long (not actually 7 miles but almost - 6,3 miles, which is 10 kms), of course it is divided into different beaches.
All of them have a good reputation, obviously, but one in special sticks out.
The Cemetery Beach in the island of Grand Cayman is located towards the most northern part of 7 Mile Beach and it is called like that because it has a cemetery located straight by the beach. To get there, visitors have to either walk on the sand from another beach or follow a small path overlooking the cemetery. It is quite a strange setting for a Caribbean beach but once you get to that dreamy beach you will forget about the cemetery completely.

At this paradise beach, visitors can not only enjoy the beautiful surroundings but also get the amazing advantage of being in a beach that is not nearly as crowded as other beaches on the island.
And apart from that there is even a coral reef that is located close to the shore. With plenty of colorful fishes swimming around (beware, they are NOT scared of people, they will come right at you), a day snorkeling at the Cemetery Beach in the Cayman Islands is as perfect as it gets.
